Activities of February 2026

                                Safer Internet Day

In Poland:

We celebrated Safer Internet Day during classes- we talked about safe passwords, cyberbulling, online shopping and many more.

In Romania:

Safer Internet Day is a global initiative held every February to promote the safe and responsible use of digital technology, especially among children and young people. Organized internationally, the day encourages communities, schools, families, and organizations to work together to create a better internet for everyone.

To celebrate Safer Internet Day 2026, Colegiul Economic organized engaging and meaningful activities to raise awareness about online safety and responsible digital behavior.

Classroom Discussions

Students participated in interactive classroom discussions focused on important topics such as:

  • Protecting personal information online

  • Understanding the risks of cyberbullying

  • Creating strong and secure passwords

  • Recognizing fake news and online scams

  • Building a positive digital footprint

Teachers encouraged students to share their experiences, opinions, and ideas on how to stay safe online. These discussions helped everyone understand that the internet can be a powerful and positive tool when used responsibly.

Poster Designing Activity

As part of the celebration, students designed creative and informative posters promoting online safety. Working individually and in groups, they created colorful posters with:

  • Catchy slogans about safe internet use

  • Tips for responsible social media behavior

  • Messages promoting kindness and respect online

  • Illustrations showing do’s and don’ts of internet use

The completed posters were displayed in the school corridors so that all students and staff could read and learn from them.

These activities not only increased awareness about internet safety but also encouraged students to take responsibility for their online actions. By discussing real-life situations and expressing their ideas creatively, students became more informed and confident digital citizens.

Our school’s celebration of Safer Internet Day was both educational and inspiring, reinforcing the message that together we can make the internet a safer place for everyone.
